Virtual Mentorship Program
Our Virtual Mentorship Program for ASL Interpreters provides you with easy access to quality mentors who are experienced and RID certified.
Whether you are certified, pre-certified, new to interpreting, or have been working for 20 years, these sessions are a safe confidential place for you. Each session is tailored to your specific needs. You can use your time for skills development, confidential professional support, or to prepare and debrief an assignment. Whatever you need, we are here for you. You can book a single session or setup a series. It is entirely up to you!
*All sessions are eligible for complimentary CEUs. You must contact ceu@hscd.org to apply for an Independent Study Plan prior to your session.

Online
Sessions are conducted online via Zoom. In your appointment confirmation you will be provided with call in details to connect with your mentor.

Tailored
While booking your session you will be asked to provide basic information. This information will be used to tailor the session for your needs.

All sessions are confidential and adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct standards.

Brad Gallaway
Mentor Extraordinaire
Brad Gallaway has been a certified sign language interpreter for 27 years, working mainly on the West coast. Born to Deaf parents, he has worked in just about every interpreting situation imaginable including TV, films, theater, music, social services, education, technology, legal settings, Deaf-Blind and more, with specialties in medical, mental health and videogaming. If it needs an interpreter, Brad has probably done it at least twice. He's currently living in Seattle and doing remote work while also consulting on accessibility and providing mentoring for up-and-coming interpreters. Skilled and straightforward, he's able to offer advice on any topics related to interpreting of all kinds.
